How Much Do Google Review Cards Cost?

Google review cards vary a lot in price, from very cheap blank NFC cards on marketplaces to cards that come with a monthly subscription. What you pay mostly depends on whether it's a one-off purchase or an ongoing fee, whether the card arrives programmed with your link, how it's printed and how many you buy. Our own Google review cards are £30 each, programmed with your link, with no monthly fee and free UK delivery.

What drives the price of a review card

Two cards that look the same in a photo can be priced very differently. These are the things that usually explain the gap.

One-off price or subscription

This makes the biggest difference over time. Many cards are a single purchase, and once you have the card there's nothing more to pay. Others are sold as part of a review service with a monthly or yearly fee, which often covers a dashboard showing tap counts and the option to change where the card points. Those cards usually hold the seller's own web address, which forwards to your review page, so they can stop working if you stop paying.

Programmed for you or blank

Blank NFC cards are cheap because you do the work. You write your review link to the chip with a free phone app and test it yourself. A card that arrives programmed costs more, because someone has set up and checked each card with your link before posting it. If you're confident with apps and only need one or two, blank cards can be good value. Our guide on how to program an NFC card for Google reviews shows what's involved.

Design and printing

A standard printed design is cheaper to produce than a card printed with your own logo and colours. Custom printing adds artwork and proofing, and some sellers ask for a minimum order. We've written about whether review cards with your logo are worth the extra.

Quantity

As with most printed products, the price per card tends to come down as you buy more. If you have a team, it's worth asking a seller what they charge for several cards rather than one. On our site the discount comes off automatically at checkout when you buy three or more cards.

Card, stand or sticker

Stands usually cost more than cards because there's more material in them. Stickers are often the cheapest way to put a tap point somewhere. Packs of stickers for parcels are priced differently again, because you're buying them in volume.

One-off card or subscription card

Working out what you'll really pay

The fairest way to compare is to add up what each option would cost over two or three years. A one-off card costs the same whether you use it for a month or for five years. A subscription card can look cheap at the start and end up costing much more, especially if you'd have been happy without the extra features.

Then think about what happens if you stop. A card that holds your Google review link directly keeps working for as long as your Business Profile exists. A card that relies on a seller's redirect can stop when the service does, and then you're buying again.

What our products cost

All of these are one-off prices with no monthly fee. Buy three or more cards of any kind and £30 comes off at checkout, rising to £75 off for five and £180 off for ten. Every item arrives programmed with your own review link, and delivery is free anywhere in the UK.

Orders are dispatched in 1 to 2 business days and then take 2 to 4 business days to arrive. Because each item is programmed with your link, we can't take them back for a change of mind, only if something is faulty or wrong.

Is a cheaper card worse?

Not necessarily. The chip inside a cheap card can be exactly the same as the one in a dearer card. What tends to differ is the finish, whether it's been programmed and tested for you, and where the link points. A cheap card holding your direct Google link can be a perfectly sensible buy. A cheap card that forwards through someone else's website has the same weakness as any other redirect card. Our guide on what to compare when buying review cards covers this in more detail.

Common questions

How much is an NFC review card?

It depends on the seller and whether there's a subscription. Ours are £30 each as a one-off price, programmed with your Google review link.

Do Google review cards have a monthly fee?

Some do and some don't. A card doesn't need a subscription to work, because the chip can hold your Google review link directly.

Is Google's review link free?

Yes. Google gives every verified Business Profile its own review link and QR code at no cost.

Why are some review cards so cheap?

Usually because they arrive blank for you to program, they're a basic print, or they're bought in bulk. Check where the link goes and test the card before relying on it.
